Attorney Biographies - Eric Hultman
Eric Hultman is a registered patent attorney with experience counseling corporations and individuals on a wide range of intellectual property and business matters.
Mr. Hultman represents his clients on a broad spectrum of intellectual property issues, including patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright and unfair competition matters. He has dealt with diverse patent matters including patent availability and non-infringement opinions, patent preparation, patent prosecution and litigation support.
Prior to joining Kane & Co., Mr. Hultman was employed as a design engineer by an international Tier I automotive supplier.
Mr. Hultman is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as the state and federal courts of Michigan.
Education
Mr. Hultman received his law degree from Michigan State University’s College of Law He received his both his Master Degree in Business Administration and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Grand Valley State University.

Mr. Hultman is a member of the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
Articles and Presentations
Mr. Hultman is a co-author of a Society of Automotive Engineering paper concerning Six Degree of Freedom validation testing of an Elastomeric Insulated Exhaust Flex Decoupler. This paper was presented at the SAE World Congress & Exhibition in 2008.
Community Involvement
Mr. Hultman is an active member of the Freemason’s and the Boy Scouts of America where he earned an Eagle Scout, and member of the Order of the Arrow. He is actively serving as Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 3 in Spring Lake, MI. |
